How To Make Lemon Water
In order to reap the full health benefits, you will need to use the whole entire lemon, this includes the pith and peel where most of the nutrients are present. I usually chop the lemons into quarters or slices and tuck them into a large tea pot. Boil the kettle and then pour the boiled water over the whole lemons. Let the brew steep for 10-15 minutes to allow all the oils and nutrients to infuse the water. Once cooled, add to your water bottle or sip throughout the day. Always use a straw though, as lemon water can erode tooth enamel.
If you start your day with a fresh pot of lemon water, enjoy some as a warm cuppa upon waking to kick start your digestive system and boost the metabolism. Let the rest cool and enjoy all day. Repeat the warm cuppa at bedtime by topping up the tea pot again for one last use. Lemon water before bed helps to reduce cellulite and detoxify the body.
