Hey beautiful, kick off weight loss this week with these deliciously good smoothie recipes made from wholesome, metabolism boosting ingredients. The following recipe round will keep you feeling full and glowing from the inside out while your body dissolves fat and detoxes naturally. Don't you just love the power of real food!


If you want to burn the flab, including that harmful visceral belly fat, the most effective fat-burning foods are best consumed as a balanced combination of dietary fiber, clean protein and/or healthy fats. These particular foods are known to reduce hunger and squash cravings. In combination, dietary fibre, lean protein and healthy fats naturally increase the feeling of fullness (after and between meals), as well as boost thermogenesis (the production of heat that occurs during digestion). Winning!


Fat-burning foods supply your body with essential vitamins and the trace minerals you need to boost your metabolism, produce natural energy, and feel your best. Give these recipes a go and be sure to include the suggested supplements for optimum results.

Skinny Green Tea Smoothie

This smoothie contains an all natural fat booster called Matcha and works as a natural fat blocker. The compounds found in Matcha green tea, called EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), have been shown to naturally boost the metabolism when consumed as a tea or supplement.


EGCG is an antioxidant catechin naturally present in green tea and works to significantly decrease body fat composition and reduce the amount of harmful abdominal fat known as visceral fat.


Recipe Ingredients


Blend the ingredients (with or without ice) and serve chilled. This make a great, healthy breakfast. Rev that metabolism on high with your first meal of the day!

Berries whether fresh or frozen, are the perfect superfood to add to your weight loss smoothies. Blueberries, strawberries and raspberries are high in antioxidant power and provide a hearty dose of essential dietary fibre helping you feel fuller for longer. When combined with a clean vegan protein, you'll satisfy your hunger and feel less likely to snack between meals.


Recipe Ingredients

  • 250ml unsweetened Almond milk (check labels)

  • 1/4 a ripe Hass avocado (healthy fat)

  • 1 capsule of metabolism boosting Tegreen supplement*

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen mixed berries

  • 1 capsule of Probiotic like Digestion Plus

  • 1 scoop of vegan Daily Protein Boost

By adding them to your smoothie, you are giving your body essential dietary fibre which helps you feel fuller for longer. Less calories consumed can help with weight loss.


Recipe Ingredients

  • 250ml unsweetened Almond milk

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries

  • 1 capsule of metabolism boosting Tegreen supplement

  • 1/2 ripe banana, frozen into chunks

  • 3 tbsp chia seeds (black or white variety)

  • 1 tsp ground Dutch cinnamon

  • 1 scoop of vegan Daily Protein Boost

As mentioned above, Matcha has many health benefits. It's a staple addition to my own smoothies (whether fresh green tea or Tegreen) and such an easy way to naturally boost your body's metabolism and fat burning capabilities.


Recipe Ingredients

  • 250ml unsweetened Almond milk

  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen mango

  • 1 capsule of metabolism boosting Tegreen supplement

  • 1/2 ripe banana, frozen into chunks

  • 3 tbsp chia seeds (black or white variety)

  • 1 tsp ground ginger root

  • 1 scoop of vegan Daily Protein Boost

  • 1 tsp Maca powder (I use Nature's Way)


Blend until smooth and serve chilled with a topping of seeds, goji and blueberries.

Grapefruit Fat Blaster Smoothie

You might only think of grapefruit as a breakfast option, but the slightly bitter fruit has proven fat burning properties you don't want to miss out on. Try adding it to your water bottle and smoothies.


Citrus fruits such as oranges, grapefruit, and lemons are bursting with natural vitamin C that helps to metabolise fat. Grapefruit in particular has insulin lowering capabilities, and even just the scent has the ability to satiate the appetite. Definitely a reason to add it your weight loss smoothie rotation.


Recipe Ingredients


Blend until smooth and serve chilled with a topping of crushed nuts or seeds. I like to serve this one with a wheel of citrus on the side of a mason jar for something a little fancy. Perfect for sharing with friends!
